About Nimbus

Nimbus (www.nimbus.green) is developing self-balancing electric pod vehicles with the goal of changing how people move inside cities. We are at the intersection of electrification, micromobility, mobility as a service, and autonomy and are backed by Y Combinator, Peter Thiel, and other prominent investors.

You will be joining the early stages of an EV company challenging the status quo by defining a new vehicle type. We are tackling climate change and urban transportation problems like congestion that's not being addressed by the auto industry. We are aiming to be to the automobile what the smartphone is to the personal computer.

Role Summary:

The senior technical program manager is responsible for the successful execution of our vehicle development projects. You will be working with cross-functional teams across industrial design, sourcing, manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, and software engineering, and our external development partners.

Your tasks will include:
  • Work with teams and leadership to develop roadmaps, schedules, and milestones
  • Maintain a detailed overview of vehicle development and act as the main coordinator across teams
  • Identify and address risks, bottlenecks, and roadblocks
  • Develop and help track budgets
  • Help establish and organise standardised progress reports
  • Lead project planning/sprint meetings and track progress against roadmaps
Qualifications:
  • BS in engineering
  • 3+ years experience in automotive or powersports
  • Working experience with mechanical design, vehicle electrical systems, manufacturing, and sourcing
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Ambitious and welcomes new challenges
  • Creative problem solver
  • Passionate about solving societal problems such as climate change
Ideal Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a high-paced environment with strict deadlines such as a racing program or startup
  • Experience in a vehicle development program at the prototype and production level
